Flipping this idea where a man experiences all this. inspired by "While a woman outside of marriage is still considered a vulnerable and troubling figure, a man is granted a higher measure of autonomy. My husband, for instance, hasn’t been receiving quite this level of solicitude. I don’t think we are nearly as quick to assume that divorced men are falling into a life of despondency. I don’t think that we are as concerned about what will happen to them, that we are filled with this exquisite worry over their situation. We assume they will marry again, and until they do, we assume they’re fine." from Sex and Love - The Great Escape - The Tale of a Recently Separated Woman -- New York Magazine

Thinking of going back to plastic hangers (!) to get more clothes in hall closet, plus rearrange to get shoes, undergarments, etc. etc. in there. Even the radical premise of dismantling the overhead cubby above it - and then how would I better access said space? Hmmm, let's work down below moreso first. What does a world without queers look like? Is God mad at them? Or the non-queers? Mutations make this possible? Inspired by The Science of Gaydar - New Research on Everything From Voice Pitch to Hair Whorl -- New York Magazine Some 20,000 angry e-mails clogged the researchers’ inboxes, comparing the work to Nazi eugenics and arguing that it held no promise of any kind to gay people. “There are positives, but many negatives” to this kind of research, says Matt Foreman, executive director of the National Gay and Lesbian Task Force. “I will bet my life that if a quote-unquote cure was found, that the religious right would have no problem with genetic or other kind of prenatal manipulations. People who don’t think that’s a clear and present danger are simply not living in reality.”

Wheeler's Oscar Party (BK - Wmsburg)

Yesterday, I enjoyed Wheeler & his team plus My Sweet Vegan author, her mom, and cool coat gal's awesome Five Spice Almond Cookies (from a TBD cookbook ?How It All Vegan). (The art was cool too.) Went from the delicious ginger to margarita (with salt on the rim) to surprising dragonfruit on to fast-forwarded previews of peanut butter banana, green tea, and choc spearmint/something.

D's Easy Veggie Chili

Key thing: I make it a day or two before, preferably on the low heat setting.

Into the slow cooker, I put a
big can of stewed tomatoes
big can of tomato sauce
big can of black beans
big can of red beans
lots of lawry's seasoning salt
some black pepper

later, you'll stir in sauteed chopped yellow onion, red and green bell peppers. sometimes i add carrot for color and more veggie content

This canned convenience makes it easy to do at a workplace or similar, showing 'em how simple it can be to do a common meal vegan style :-)
